The
history of S.T.A.T. Industries
In 1898, a rugged and enterprising individual, Domenick Tringali, arrived in America from Sicily, Grandfather of Don tringali, present owner of S.T.A.T. Truck & Trailer Industries.
Almost Immediately, Domenick commenced his own blacksmith shop with $350 on his person; this shop built commercial wagons, repaired them, plus the sundries entailed; very few motor vehicles in these days. Ultimately, four sons of Domenick, Sal, Joe, Angelo, and Emmanue became involved in the business, known as D. Tringali & Sons, which existed till 1978, by which this time, trucks, trailers, and cars had entered the mobile picture, a span of 80 years from 1898; retirement was the reason for termination for all involved except for Domenick, who passed away in 1942.
During World War II, government contracts were awarded to D. Tringali & Sons, in which the company were known to perform all the most difficult and arduous jobs for the government, such as grappling hooks, chains, anchors, ammunition boxes, etc.
In the meanwhile, before the 80 years termination of D. Tringali & Sons, in 1978, Donald Tringali, grandson of Domenick, began his own business in 1968, with truck and trailer repairs, etc. The Shop had progressed to the point where the staff of personnel has skilled workers who have 24-27 years of experience in the line. The shop has become Long Island's Largest, and most Complete heavy duty frame, alignment and collisions shop, and the ONLY PRO SHOP EVER, for All State Insurance for trucks and trailers.
